Mantyla, Walfred (22 MAY 1892 - 24 SEP 1947)

Walfred Mantyla passed away at his home in the town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.) Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1947, of a hemorrhage. He was born at Worchester, Mass., May 22, 1892. Upon his passing he was 55 years, 4 months and 2 days.

He was united to Serafia Viitala, Sept. 29, 1917, in Waukegan, Ill.

He moved to his farm here in the town of Longwood in 1920, and lived here to the day of his passing.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Mrs. Serafia Mantyla, and one daughter, Aili Irene Mantyla, at home, and his mother, Mrs. Serafia Kytola in Waukegan, Ill.; also aunts and uncles, and some cousins in Finland and a host of friend.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 27, with Rev. Viljo Puotinin officiating from the Griebenow Funeral Parlors. Burial was made in the Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Otto Hakola, Andrew Kytola, Milton Seaman, Gust Salo, Frank Karve and Toivo Manninen. Flower girls were: Mrs. Milton Seaman and Mrs. George Wnukowski and Misses Harycki and Salo.
