Fisher, George (11 April 1884 - 25 May 1950)

Funeral services for George Fisher, 66, Loyal, were held on Monday from the Methodist Church in Loyal with Rev. Lee H. Holmes officiating. Burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery. He died on Thursday as a result of pneumonia, but he had been in poor health for some time.

Mr. Fisher was born April 11, 1884, in the Town of Sherman and made his home in the vicinity of Loyal for the greater part of his life. He received his education in the rural school of Veefkind and attended a business school at Stevens Point. He owned and operated cheese factories at Veefkind, Marathon City and lately at Spokeville. He was clerk of the Town of Sherman for several years. His wife is the former Stella Thomas. They were married on October 2, 1907. She survives him.

Also surviving are three children, Mrs. H. L. Laessig of Marshfield, Thomas Fisher of Spencer, and Mrs. Ralph Saveland of Green Bay.
