Longwood

Miss Edna Bowen gave a party to a few of her young friends Saturday evening. They enjoyed themselves playing games until supper was served, after which they returned home, feeling as if they had a good time long to be remembered.

F. M. Carter drove through town Saturday.

Dell Sheldon came home last week. He thinks he will stay and help his father this summer.

Miss Dora McCarty, visited with her brother, Haskell, last week.

C. F. Carlton attended the Woodman lodge at Greenwood Tuesday night.

W. C. Tuft and wife of Withee took supper at G. B. Andrew’s Monday.

Miss Stella Mead went to Thorp last week to attend the teachers’ examination.

John Bryden was seen on our streets Friday.

Miss Laura Miller returned home from Withee last week.

Mr. Bowen and Mr. Wm. Johnston of Greenwood, accompanied by wives, visited with G. B. Andres and family Friday.

There will be quite a few happy souls in Longwood tonight, it being caucus day.

While tied at Withee Saturday, A. C. Barr’s horse was frightened by the cars, causing him to break loose and run away. He was not stopped until he reached home, no serious damage being done.
