A very pretty fall wedding took place at the parsonage of St. John’s Lutheran church in Neillsville Saturday, Nov. 6, at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. William A. Baumann officiating at the double ring ceremony. United in marriage were Miss Florence Roehl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Roehl of route four, Neillsville and Eldon Wiesjahn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Wiesjahn.

The bride was attired in a white vel-ray satin gown, with a white fingertip veil which hung from a seed pearl crown. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white roses.

Her bridesmaids were Miss Bernadine Schlinkert of Milwaukee, a cousin, who wore a rose colored sparkle velray on taffeta, and Miss Evelyn Schutte of Unity, a close friend, whose gown of aqua colored sparkle vel-ray on taffeta. Each bridesmaid wore a matching shoulder length veil and each carried a bouquet of pink and white snapdragons.

Clifford Roehl, brother of the bride, and Ernest Bird were the groom’s attendants.

A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents for about 50 guests. The house was decorated with rose, aqua and white streamers and white wedding bells.

The bride was graduated from the Neillsville high school with the class of 1939 and has done clerical work in the county AAA office at Neillsville for the past four years. The groom is engaged in farming.

The young couple will reside on the farm owned by the groom’s parents on route three, Neillsville.

A shower and free wedding dance was held in the evening at the Moose hall in Neillsville, where a very large crowd gathered to wish them well.
