The Rev. Myron Glick officiated at the final rites conducted from the Reseburg Congregational Church in the Town of Reseburg at two o’clock Tuesday afternoon for Joseph Henry Shore. The deceased passed away at the farm home of his son Ivan in the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.) during his sleep Friday, Feb. 13, 1948. Interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers at the services were Lester Butterfield, Chas. Hardy, Joe Melbinger, Chas Myrin, Arthur Bobb, and Gotthilf Isler.

Joseph Henry Shore was born on Feb. 24, 1866, in the town of Richwood in Richland Co., Wis. He was 81 years, 11 months and 16 days of age at the time of his passing away.

He was married at the age of 27 years to Anna Grimshaw of Richland Center, Wis. To this union were born six children, one of whom passed away as an infant, and one son, Ethemore, as an adult.

The family moved to this community in 1901 and were among the earliest pioneers. Mr. Shore worked as a stone mason and logger for many years besides improving his farm. He lived a long and useful life here and leaves many friends who mourn his passing.
