Ried, Barbara J. (Pease) (4 SEP 1930 - 29 AUG 2013)

Barbara J. Ried, 82, Waterford, died on Thursday, Aug. 29. Services were held on Saturday, Sept. 7 at East Troy Bible Church in East Troy. Private inurnment was held.

Mealy Funeral Home of Waterford assisted the family with arrangements.

The former Barbara Pease was born on September 4, 1930 in Eagle to the late Edward and Bessie (Halverson) Pease. She spent her early life in Waukesha and Pewaukee. She worked as a CNA for many years and also as a waitress.

She was a member of East Troy Bible Church and in her younger years taught Bible school. She enjoyed birds, flowers and cheering for the Packers on Sundays.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry (Steve) Chariton of Medford and Kim (Bill) Pieters of Burlington; two sisters, Betty Stark and Bonnie (Carl) Riola; a sister-in-law, Lois Pease; four grandchildren, Shawn (Brittany) Chariton of Medford, Shannon (Chris) Ehrhardt of Hastings, MN, Sarah (Corey) Waskow of Billings, MO, and Sabrina (Josh) Martin of Burlington; nine great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Ried, and two brothers, George and Jack Pease.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Troy Bible Church.
