Roberts, Adoree T. (29 JUN 1948)

A lovely June wedding was solemnized at eight o’clock Teusday morning when Miss Adoree Theresa Roberts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Roberts, Sr., of Medford, became the bride of Galen Frederick Brunner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Brunner, Holway.

The Rev. Gregory Reuter celebrated the Nuptial Mass and read the marriage service at the Holy Rosary Church at Medford.

The bridegroom’s sister, Miss Jeanne Brunner, was maid of honor and the bride’s brother, Wesley Roberts, served as best man. Included in the wedding party were Misses LaVerne Roberts, Milwaukee and Kathleen Gallistel, Ogema, bridesmaids; Jim Ludwig and John Aschenbrenner, groomsmen.

The bridal gown of white satin featured lace insertions and a long train. Her fingertip veil edged with wide lace, was draped from a beaded tiara of orange blossoms. She carried a white prayer book and an all white bouquet.

The maid of honor and the bridesmaids in pink and green, respectively, wore nylon net gowns with hoop skirts and Bertha collars and matching open crown picture hats completed their attire.

A four o’clock wedding supper was served to about 45 immediate relatives and friends at the home of the bride’s parents. A reception was held at two o’clock at Spreen’s Interlaken Resort, and a dance followed.

The bride is a graduate of the Medford High School and has been employed as a waitress in Madison. Mr. Brunner was also graduated from the Medford High School and is a veteran of 2 ½ years served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He is now in business in this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) being in partnership with his cousin in the Clover Farm Store.

After a short honeymoon the young couple will establish their future residence in this city.
