Kuehn, Eileen #3 (30 OCT 1948)

A farm near Withee is the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold H. Hodnett, who were married Oct. 30, 1948 in a candlelight 7:30 p.m. services in the West Side Reformed Church, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), by the Rev. J. C. Klingeberger. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Kuehn, Greenwood, and the groom is the son of Lynn Hodnett, Withee.

Fern Hodnett, Withee, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Mrs. Harold Kuehn, sister-in-law of the bride. The bridal attendants were dressed in blue and rose satin, respectively, with matching mitts and bonnets. A ninon yoke and cap sleeves styled the bodices of their gowns and they carried white carnations and pompons.

White slipper satin formed the bride’s gown. Her bodice was fashioned with a lace-edged ninon yoke and long tapering sleeves. The long train was lace-edged and her fingertip veil fell from a crown of seed pearls. She carried white and red carnations.

John Wiernasz, Thorp, was best man, and groomsman was Harold Kuehn, Owen, brother of the bride. Ushers were Norbert Kuehn, Greenwood, brother of the bride, and Armas Toya, Eau Claire, brother-in-law of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of Greenwood High School and Eau Claire State Teachers College. For the past five years she has been teaching in Clark County schools and is teaching at Hemlock School at present.

The groom is a graduate of Withee High School and was in the U.S. armed forces for three and one-half years.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.
