Laabs, Anna (6 June 1887 - 23 October 1970)

Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, from the Methodist Church in Colby for Mrs. Anna Laabs, 83, who died in Neillsville on October 23. The Rev. Bervie A. Scott officiated and burial took place in Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Sherman Loos, Frank Seidel, James Hauser, Frank Goeltz, Jr., Ray Gries, and Gary Schmidt.

The former Anna Peissig was born June 6, 1887, near Dorchester. She was married to Arthur Laabs on May 29, 1909. They resided on a farm in the Town of Hull until 1945, when they retired and moved to Colby. Mrs. Laabs entered Memorial Home in Neillsville on February 1, 1965.

Survivors include her husband, also a resident of Memorial Home, her daughter, Mrs. Edward (Anita) Bergstrom, Eagle River, two grandsons and one great-grandson.
