LOCAL HAPPENINGS

Harry Jens purchased the meat market this week and will open for business soon. Watch the Curtiss Advance for further announcements.

Joe Ackerman has purchased the Wm. Neitzel farm in the town of Hoard and will take possession in the near future.

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Sills and daughter are visiting this week at the home of Frank Schroeder. Mr. and Mrs. Sills expect to move to Abbotsford in the near future.

Mr. and Mrs. Emil Trester and children and George Koerner of Milwaukee spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mortiz Koerner.

Several friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peterson Wednesday evening in honor of Henry Johnson’s birthday anniversary. The evening was spent in playing cards after which a fine lunch was served.

UNION SHIP STOCK

The Hoard’s Farmers Union will ship stock from the Curtiss stock yards Wednesday forenoon, April 2, and every two weeks thereafter.
