------ Schultz, Elaine Evelyn (5 JUN 1965)

Two young people of route 1, Unity, were united in marriage Saturday, June 5, Miss Elaine Evelyn Schultz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence G. Schultz, and Raymond Michael Degenhardt, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Degenhardt, are both deceased, repeated their marriage vows in Zion Lutheran church at Colby with the Rev. Harold Woodworth officiating.

The bride, who was presented in marriage by her father for the one o’clock ceremony, appeared in a floor-length gown of nylon tulle and Alencon lace.  The fitted bodice featured a scalloped neckline with borealis bead trim.  The bouffant nylon tulle skirt was detailed with lace inserts with borealis beads.  Her bouffant veil of imported illusion net with rolled edge was held in place with a queen’s crown of seed pearls.  She carried an arrangement of red roses and white gardenias centered with a large white orchid and rosebud streamers.

Attending her as maid of honor was Miss Dorothy Schultz, route 1 Unity.  Mrs. Sylvester (Arlene) Rizzi of Spencer and Mrs. Dennis (Marilyn) Bohman of Marshfield were the bridesmaids.

The maid of honor wore a sheath dress with detachable floor-length overskirt and blue and yellow ballerina style dresses were worn by the bridesmaids.  Their headpieces and flowers matched their dresses.

David Freimund of Milan was the best man and Ronald Schultz of Colby and Dennis Bohman, Marshfield, were the groomsmen.

Dennis Schultz of route 1, Unity and Michael Schultz of Colby were the ushers.

Festivities following the church ceremony included a reception at the Northside Bar at Colby and a dance at Sportsmen’s Park in the evening.

After the new Mr. and Mrs. Degenhardt return from a wedding trip in the state they will make their home at route 1, Unity.  The groom attended school at Loyal, and is employed at Spencer Sports Products.

His bride is a 1965 graduate of the Colby high school.
