Gosse, Henry (6 Mar. 1896 - 21 Apr. 1958)

Henry Gosse of the town of Colby, Wisconsin died suddenly Monday morning at 9:30 o’clock at the age of 62 years, a heart attack being the cause of his death. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Rev. V. O. Grosshuesch officiating, and internment will be mad in the Pine Hill cemetery at Curtiss.

Mr. Gosse came to the town of Colby with his parents when six years of age. He married Doris Lindow of Dorchester on June 8, 1921. They engaged in farming in the town of Colby until last June when Mr. Gosse retired from farm work and engaged in buying and selling hides.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Victor Gosse of Curtiss and Henry Gosse, Jr., in the U.S. Army, stationed in Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Delia) Hammel of Withee and Mrs. Samuel (Ione) Bahr of Milwaukee; two brothers, Carl Gosse of Milwaukee and Fred Gosse of Abbotsford; two sisters, Mrs. Melvin Ostenson of Curtiss and Mrs. Kelsey of Abbotsford; six grand children. One brother, August, preceded him in death.

Mr. Gosse was well and favorably known in Colby, Wisconsin for his congenial disposition and industrial habits, always ready to perform his duties to the best of his ability.
