Kohniak, Olga (6 JUL 1947)

William E. Joyce Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Joyce Sr. of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Olga Kohniak of Withee, were united in holy matrimony by Rev. Michael Malatick at St. Mary’s Orthodox Church at Lublin at 11:30 July 6th, 1947.

The couple was attended by Walter Joyce and Irene Selewane, who was dressed in a net over white satin gown.

The bride was attired in white brocaded satin with lace inserts. Her full length veil with blusher was caught to a crown of orange blossoms. Her wedding bouquet was of sweet peas and gardenias tied with white satin bows and streamers.

Maid of honor was Helen Kohniak, dressed in blue net over satin. Anna Lang, as bridesmaid, wore white net over satin. George H. Kohniak served as usher. The lady attendants carried bouquets of white carnations, gardenias, blue Marconi, daisies,, ferns, tied with blue satin ribbons.

A reception was held a the home of the bride’s parents where dancing and other festivities were enjoyed during the day. The couple will reside on a farm near Greenwood, Wis.

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Myckko, Fred Myckko, John Kohniak, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kohniak, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Kohniak, Mike and Andrew Jacob, Mrs. Anna Kaplar, of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Nick Kaplar, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Joyce Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Joyce of Greenwood.
