Wicker, Carol (Marriage - 12 Sept. 1959)

Miss Carol Wicker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wicker of Colby, and Marvin Bandt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Bandt of Marshfield, were united in marriage at a 9:30 mass in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby Saturday morning, Sept. 12, Rev. John B. Pinion officiating. Donna Wicker of Colby, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Barbara Bandt of Marshfield, sister of the groom, and Rose Hebert of Colby were bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Morris Wicker of Colby, brother of the bride, as best man and Aaron Wicker of Colby, another brother of the bride, and Ronald Bandt of Marshfield, a brother of the groom, as groomsmen.

The bride was attired in a floor-length gown of embroidered nylon organza, Sabrina neckline, long tapered sleeved, fitted bodice, full bouffant skirt. Her fingertip veil of sheer imported illusion net, hand rolled edge, was held in place with an open crown with seed pearl trim. Her cascade bouquet consisted of red roses and white stephanotis.

The bride’s attendants wore powder blue waltz-length gowns of Rachel lace, fitted bodice, full skirt, taffeta cummerbund forming a back bow and streamers. They wore matching head pieces. Their cascade bouquets consisted of white carnations and blue stephanotis.

A reception was held at the bride’s home, and, in the evening, a wedding dance was held at the Kolby Park Pavilion.

After a wedding trip to Colorado, the couple will be at home at 117 E. 17th St., Marshfield, where the groom is employed by the Parkin Ice Cream Co.
