Isham, Mary #2 (19 DEC 1859 - 11 OCT 1905)

The remains of Mrs. Geo. Isham, third daughter of Peter McGinnis, arrived here (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.) from San Antonio, Texas, Monday, Oct. 16th, 1905, for burial. She was born Mary McGinnis, at Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence Co., N.Y., and would have been 46 years old next December. Mr. Isham, who was accompanying the remains, by a misconnection in Chicago, did not arrive until Tuesday, upon which day, at 2 p.m., the funeral took place at the Catholic Church, Rev. Jos. H. Hauck officiating. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery.

Her death was caused by tuberculosis. The family formerly lived here, later moving to Merrill, La Crosse and Chicago in succession, going to Texas two years ago for Mrs. Isham’s health. She leaves two children, a son aged 26 and a daughter aged 11 years. She was the third daughter in a family of twelve children. The mother died but a short time ago. Those surviving are, besides the father, Mrs. John Short, Mrs. John Welch, Mrs. emery Bruley, P.J. McGinnis, Mrs. Geo. Shafer, F. E. McGinnis, Agnes McGinnis, Mrs. J. E. Phillips, W. H. McGinnis, Lillian McGinnis and Mrs. J. E. Jorgensen. Deceased is the first of the children to follow the mother, and the break in the family circle is most deeply mourned.
