Fisher, Stella (15 Dec. 1885 - 6 Oct. 1951)

Loyal - Funeral services for Mrs. George Fisher, 65 Loyal, who died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Wis., Saturday, will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Methodist Church here. The Rev. Lee Holmes will officiate and burial will be made in the Loyal cemetery. Friends may view the body at the Myre Funeral Home until the time of the services.

Mrs. Fisher, nee Stella Thomas, was born Dec. 15, 1885 in Crystal Plains, Kan. She moved to Clark County with her parents in 1890 and received her education in the Loyal schools. She lived on a farm near Spokeville until 1901 when the family moved into Loyal.

On Oct. 2, 1907, she married George Fisher in Loyal. Most of her married life was spent in the communities of Spokeville and Veefkind. She moved to Loyal about six years ago and had lived there ever since. As a young woman Mrs. Fisher taught in the schools around Loyal.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. H. L. (Norma) Laessig, Marshfield; Mrs. Ralph (Hazel Saveland, Green Bay; and a son, Thomas Fisher, Spokeville. Her father, D. A. Thomas, Loyal and three grandchildren are also living, as is a brother, Roy Thomas, Loyal. Two sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. Fisher was a member of the Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, The Royal Neighbors, the Eastern Star, the W.S.C.S., the Woman's Study Club, and the Spokeville Community Club.
