Dance the old year out and the new year in at the Opera House tonight.

The West Side Aid will meet with Mrs. Henry Kuester, Wednesday, Jan. 6th.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stabnow and sons spent Christmas Day with relatives and friends at Loyal.

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Varney and son of Wausau arrived here Thursday for an extended visit with relatives and friends.

The Misses Esther, Virginia and Phyllis Lotzer of Edgar are spending the holidays here at the home of their father, P.W. Lotzer.

Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Buker and children spent from Thursday until Monday with relatives and friends at Loyal.

Miss Eunice Paul, who teaches at Wis. Rapids, is spending the holidays here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.N. Paul.

W.W. Brown of Marshfield spent Xmas Day here at the home of his son, Louie Brown and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hepburn spent Christmas Day with relatives and friends at Eau Claire.

Miss Lucille McMahon, a trained nurse at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan, arrived here last Thursday and is spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene McMahon.

Mrs. J.H. Etta and Mrs. Perry Volk of Loyal spent Saturday at the Harold Stabnow home.

Mrs. George Gardner went to Oshkosh last Thursday for a few days visit with relatives and friends.

Miss Bernice Smith of Milwaukee arrived here Thursday for a few days visit with her mother, Mrs. Millie Smith.

Another Rod & Gun Club dance at the Opera House tonight. Dance is for everybody. Come.

Gerhardt Vinger of the southern part of the state arrived here last week for an extended visit at the home of his brother, Palmer Vinger and family.

Mrs. John Wuethrich was taken to the hospital at Marshfield yesterday for rest and treatment in preparation for a goiter operation.

Mrs. Howard spent Christmas at Madison at the Schoonover home, with Mrs. Reiger and family, who were there from Chicago and with Mr. Lamar Thrapp and wife.

A large crowd attended the picture show at the Opera House Tuesday evening. The picture was presented under the auspices of the local M.W.A. Camp. They were both interesting and educational.

Conrad Aaberg and Edward Gullord were Marshfield visitors Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rossman and daughter came over from Wausau Thursday for a few days visit with relatives and friends.

Frank Rajk held the lucky number that won the electric auto horn given away by the C.C. Hoehne Hardware Co. last Thursday.

Dr. R.H. Clute went to Eau Claire Sunday, where he will remain for some time at the hospital. He recently underwent an operation for nose and throat trouble at Eau Claire, and his condition was not as good as we expected, so he returned for further treatments.

Mrs. Fred Behrens entertained those of the graduating class of 1917, who were here at this time, at a six o'clock dinner at her home Tuesday evening. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Behrens, Don Warner, Amy Colby, Eunice Paul and Violet McCarty. A splendid time was reported by all.

The auto given away by the Greenwood Cooperative Mercantile & Shipping Co. was won by Mrs. John Meng. The correct number under the seal was 25,190 miles, 167 rods, 15 feet and 8 inches. Mrs. Meng's guess was 25,187 miles, 89 rods, 2 feet and 5 inches. The second nearest guess was made by John Olson. His guess was 25,200 miles, 11 rods, 9 feet and 5 inches. He won the set of silverware. Lindo Windom won the third prize, a big doll. His guess being 25, 225 miles.
