Oestreich, Mildred Mae (Marriage - 16 September 1950)

Trinity Lutheran church in Loyal was the scene of the wedding on Saturday of Miss Mildred Mae Oestreich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Oestreich of Loyal, to Herman Stange, Neillsville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stange of Loyal.

The bride approached the altar on the arm of her father, who gave her in marriage, attired in a gown of traditional white Chantilly lace over satin. The long-sleeved molded bodice with satin buttons adorning the front was topped by a tiny mandarin collar. The full sweeping skirt terminated into a long train. Her pixie-type helmet embroidered with seed pearls and bugle beads secured the hand-rolled silk tulle veil. Her bridal bouquet consisted of two white chrysanthemums surrounded by deep red roses and pompons.

Miss Joan Oestreich of Mankato, Mich., was the maid of honor. She is a cousin of the bride. Miss Oestreich wore a burnt gold satin gown with a lace overskirt. Miss Donna Oertel of Auburndale, the bridesmaid, wore a soft green strapless satin with a short fitted bolero with a high mandarin collar.

Frank Stange, a brother of the groom, was best man, and Raymond Oestreich, a brother of the bride served as groomsman. Ushers were Eugene Lucht and Robert Thrum.

Seventy guests were present for the five o’clock supper which was served at the home of the bride’s parents. A reception for 100 relatives and friends followed.

Upon their return from their honeymoon trip in the west Mr. and Mrs. Stange will reside in Neillsville, where Mr. Stange is employed by the Clark County Highway Department.
