LIDA LOWELL SERVICE HELD

Rites for Aged Local Resident Held in Minnesota

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Springfield, Minnesota, last Saturday for Mrs. A. Lida Lowell, 79, who had been making her home here with her grandson, Jack Lowell.

Mrs. Lowell had made Guttenberg her home for eight years, and for two years until about six months ago, she had been employed at the Clayton County Home. During the past six months, due to failing health, she had made her home with her grandson here.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Wigal, Mrs. Lowell was born at Springfield, Minnesota, June 11, 1875. On December 2, 1896, she was married to William Lowell at Springfield.

Surviving Mrs. Lowell is her son, Earl, of Los Angeles, California; a sister, Mary E. Wigal of Osakis, Minnesota; five grandsons, Lawrence and Robert Lowell of Omaha, Nebraska; Wayne Lowell of Iowa City, and Jack and Edward Lowell of Guttenberg. A granddaughter, Teresa Lowell, and two great grandchildren, Jacqueline and Michael, also survive. Burial was in Springfield, Minn.
