Butler, David N. #2 (12 DEC 1870 - 19 JAN 1950)

David Noah Butler, son of George and Nancy Butler, was born in Buffalo County at Nelson, Wis. on Dec. 12, 1870. He died at his home on Jan. 19, 1950 at the age of 79 of a stroke. At the age of ten he moved with his parents to Augusta; several years later to Mentor Township in Clark County, where he grew to manhood. In 1900 he moved to Butler Township, formerly Mead, where he spent the rest of his life.

On Sept. 15, 1891, he was united in marriage to Ida Mae Howe of Augusta, Wis.

Left to mourn his death are his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Jessie McMahon of Brookfield, Ill. and Mrs. Alma Kile of Thorp. Ten grandchildren: Mrs. Ida Mae Possley of Chicago, Mrs. June Blum of Wenatchee, Wash., Elvin Kile of Owen, Wis., Opal McMahon of Brookfield, Ill., David Kile of Thorp, Lawrence and Lyle Kile of Wenatchee, Wash., Kenneth Kile of Camp Pendleton, Calif., Dean and Alma Marie Kile of Thorp, and ten great-grandchildren. One brother, George Butler, and one sister, Mrs. Nora Cole. Preceding him in death, one son died in infancy, four brothers, William, Isaac, James and Charles, and two sisters, Christina Brown and one in infancy.

Mr. Butler was a kind husband and father, and has been a hard working man as long as his health permitted. He was well liked and respected in the community and leaves many relatives and friends to mourn his death.
