Mr. and Mrs. Don Cox returned Saturday from Palatine, Ill., where they visited their grandson, William T. Kulas, who had just returned after a year on a carrier ship off Vietnam and is spending a furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mr. Norman Kulas.

The Women’s Guild will meet today (Thursday) in Zion United Church at 2 p.m. Mrs. Rose Ludwig will be in charge of the program. Mrs. Arthur Hendrickson and Mrs. David Logue will be the hostesses.

Miss Patti Jo Thompson returned to Portage Sunday after visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thompson.

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Speich and children, Caroline and Jacob, of Osseo were guests Sunday at the home of his mother, Mrs. Jake Speich.

Mr. and Mrs. William Kavanaugh, accompanied by Mrs. Lucille Brussow and Mrs. Cecilia Bremer of Loyal, left Friday on a trip to Texas.

Mrs. Richard Thompson has been dismissed from the Marshfield hospital.

Otto Abel was taken by ambulance Saturday evening to the Marshfield hospital.

William Goeke was admitted January 22, to Memorial Hospital in Park Falls.

St. Ann’s Society met Thursday evening in St. Mary’s Hall. New officers taking over are Mrs. Lawrence Lindner, president; Mrs. Raymond Gregorich, vice president; Mrs. Ronald Kitzhaber, Secretary; Mrs. Reynold Syth, treasurer. Commission officers are: organizational society, Mrs. Raymond Gregorich; international affairs, Mrs. Carl Lindner; community affairs, Mrs. Jerome Hinker; family affairs, Mrs. James Lindner; church and community, Mrs. Norman Mayenschien. The meeting was opened with a prayer by the Rev. Leander Koopman. It was decided the society would sell garden seeds. Following the business meeting a lunch was served by the St. Agnes group. The next meeting will be held February 25. Hostesses will be the St. Francis group.

The Good Evening club met Wednesday at the home of Mrs. John Lindner for a 6:30 dinner. Following the meal, demonstrations were given on arts and crafts. Health topics were discussed. Mrs. Eugene Carteron reported to cake were baked in December of birthdays of residents of the Clark County Home for the Aged. The next meeting will be held February 24 at the home of Mrs. George Scherer.

Mrs. Theodore Abel was dismissed Tuesday from the Marshfield hospital.

Mrs. Robert Stewart returned home Friday after being a patient at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville the last four weeks.
