Beckman, George (1885? - 7 APR 1950)

George Henry Beckman, 64, died April 7, 1950 at the Sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire, after four weeks of illness.

Funeral services were held at the Stokes and Sona Funeral Chapel. Rev. Joseph A. Ranger of Bethesda Lutheran Church, officiated, bringing a heartfelt message of comfort. The songs rendered were favorite hymns of Mr. Beckman, "Shall We Gather at the River: and "God’s Way", were sung by Rev. and Mrs. Ranger.

The body was laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire.

Mr. Beckman was a former resident of the Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) vicinity. He has lived in Eau Claire the past 19 years, where he has been employed at the National Pressure Cooker plant.

Mr. Beckman was a kind and loving husband and father. Surviving are his wife and three daughters, Martha (Mrs. Chas. Books) of Eau Claire, Ethel (Mrs. Edwin Muelling) of Eau Claire, and Mrs. Bertha Pitt of Bell Garden, Calif.; also six grandchildren; one brother, Otto Beckman of Thorp, and three sisters, Mrs. Ernest Baumgartner of Stanley, Mrs. Laura Nelson of Thorp, and Mrs. Clara Baehr of Withee.
