Pleasant Ridge (18 February 1971)

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zieroth and sons of Waconia, Minn., visited Saturday and Sunday at the Vern G. Howard home. Rollie Dietrich also visited with the Howards Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Short, Steven and Ann, visited Mr. and Mrs. Richard Qualley Sunday afternoon. Tom Short, who has been stationed with the Army in Germany for the last 16 months, is expected to be discharged from the service and return home March 1.

Mr. and Mrs. Al Peot of Milwaukee spent the long Washington’s Birthday weekend at the Richard Raebel home. The Peots purchased the Norbert Pettit farm recently and plan to move there in the future.

Clarion Counsell, who was released from memorial hospital recently and spent about a week at home, was hospitalized again on Sunday. Members of the family who have visited lately at the Counsell home include Lee Counsell of Great Lakes, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Osborn and family of Carbondale, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Pagenkopf and family of Platteville.

Pleasant Ridge homemakers were to meet at the home of Mrs. George Kuehn Wednesday afternoon.

Mrs. Roy Suckow has been hospitalized recently.
