Vivoda, Julia D. (22 SEP 1917 - 4 FEB 2009)

Julia D. Vivoda, 91, Spring Hill, Fla., formerly of Greenwood, died on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Brooksville, Fla. She had resided at the Residence of Timber Pines, Spring Hill. Burial was in Florida Hills Memorial Gardens.

Julia D. Briski was born on Sept. 22, 1917, to Matt and Catherine (Nee Zagar) Briski, in Chisholm, Minn. She married Joe Vivoda, Willard, on June 26, 1937, in Chicago, where she was employed by Western Electric for 30 years, retiring in 1972. After retirement, they lived in Port Richy and Spring Hill, Fla.

Survivors include four sisters, Kay Gulczinski, Minneapolis, Minn., Angeline Gulczinski, Greenwood, Rose Malaszuk, Greenwood, and Delores Lendosky, Greenwood, and two brothers, Robert (Tami) Briski, Greenwood and John (Florence) Briski, Greenwood.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Joe, in 1994; her patents; two sisters, Mary Malnar and Elizabeth Stimac; and five brothers, Matt, Tony, Frank, Albert and Ted.

Turner Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
