Lueck, Norma Jane (Marriage - 7 April 1951)

Miss Norma Jane Lueck, daughter of Mrs. Elsie Lueck of Greenwood, became the bride of Wallace Erickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Erickson of Neillsville, at a ceremony performed at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Christie, at two o’clock on April 7. The Rev. Walter Schedler officiated at the double ring ceremony. Vows were repeated before an altar decorated with baskets of pink and white snapdragons.

The bride who was given in marriage by her brother, Wilmer Lueck, was attired in the traditional white satin. It was fashioned with a fitted bodice, full length lace-trimmed train. Her finger-tip veil fell from a tiara of seed pearls. It was edged with Chantilly lace. She carried a bridal bouquet of calla lilies and red roses.

Bernita Swieso was her sister’s maid of honor. She was attired in a gown of blue satin, fashioned with a net yoke and full skirt trimmed with lace. Her bridesmaids were Mildred True of Madison the groom’s sister, and Geraldine Reinhardt of Neillsville. They wore peach satin gowns styled the same as the maid of honor. They carried baskets of peach carnations and hyacinths.

James Erickson, brother of the groom, acted as best man and Vernard Swieso, brother-in-law of the bride, and Wilmer Lueck, brother of the bride, were groomsmen. Jack True of Madison and DuWayne Carl acted as ushers. David Eisentraut and Harold Boon, nephews of the bride and groom, spread the white carpet for the bride.

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School and has been employed by the Roddis Plywood, Inc. for the past two and one-half years. The groom was graduated from the Granton High School, is engaged in farming and owns and operates a milk Route.

Guests from out of town attending the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Ted Erickson and family, Mrs. Elk Strand, and Miss Jeanette Stiemke of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Hoffman and son, Arnold, Ben Beyer, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Christion- (missing lines).
