Strzok, Lorraine (19 MAY 1951)

In a nuptial mass at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Miss Lorraine Strzok, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Strzok, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and S. Sgt. Louis Wehlacz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wehlacz, Thorp, exchanged marriage vows in a double ring ceremony on Saturday, May 19th, 1951 at 9:30 in the morning, the Rev. Piekarski officiating.

The bride wore a gown of Shimmering ivory skinner satin with imported point d’espirit lace inserts and tulle in the yoke, a small Peter Pan collars of the satin, long tight pointed sleeves and a fitted waist forming a Vee front and back. The full circular skirt fell into a deep cathedral train. Her pearl and satin headpiece was a coronet with a fingertip veil of imported nylon tulle. She carried a Cascade of gardenias and carnations centered with an orchid corsage.

The groom a member of the U. S. Marine Corps, wore his Marine Blue uniform, while his attendants, his twin brother S. Sgt. Eddie Wehlacz and Chester Strzok, brother of the bride wore dark trousers and white dinner jackets with pink carnation boutonnieres.

The bridesmaids were Alice Strzok, sister of the bride, and Virgie Wehlacz, sister of the groom. The bride chose her sister Margie as her maid of honor. They all sore identical gowns of pink, blue and green taffeta with a fitted lace bodice, and hoop skirts. They wore gauntlets to match their gowns, and a crown of carnations in their hair, and carried a cascade of pink and white carnations. The bride’s gifts to her maids were rhinestone necklaces.

The reception was held at Marion Sciezor’s Hall.

The bride has been employed at the Thorp Finance Corp., while the groom is serving wit the U.S. Marines at Camp LeJenne, N.C. After a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and Canada, the bridal couple will make their home in Wilmington, N.C.

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Glanz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rohde and son, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wehlacz and family, Miss Virge Wehlacz, Mrs. Edna Seleski, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Wehlacz and son, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mocadtlo, Mr. and Mrs. John Keller, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kudinza and son, all of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. George Strzok, Frank and Dorothy Strzok and Eleanore Kennedy, all of Milwaukee, and S. Sgt. Eddie Wehlacz of Camp LeJenne, N.C.
