Mathison, Ann #2 (10 FEB 1873 - 8 OCT 1944)

Mrs. Henry Matheson (cemetery record says Mathison), 71, died on Sunday, Oct. 8, at her home in Greenwood, following several years illness caused by a heart ailment.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 10, at Grace Methodist church in Greenwood, the Rev. Alex J. Abbott officiating. Interment was in the Greenwood cemetery.

Mrs. Mathison, nee Ann Tucker, was born in Devonshire, England, on Feb. 10, 1873, and came to the United States in 1886 with her father and brothers. Her mother died in England.

She left Illinois in 1892, moving to Greenwood, where on Aug. 24, 1898, she married Henry Matheson. They lived on a farm east of Greenwood until 1931, when they moved to the present Matteson home in that city.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Chester of Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. Mary Uhrie, of Battle Creek, Mich.; a brother, Fred Tucker of Argonne, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Mary Mathison, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

A daughter, Eva, died in 1934; a son died in infancy, and three brothers also preceded her in death.

The Tribune adds its sympathy to that of friends and neighbors to the bereaved relatives.
