Miller, Ottilia (Mar. 1857 - 25 Feb. 1941)

Mrs. Hugo Miller who would have been 84 years old Sunday died at 12 o’clock, Tuesday night. Death was caused by pneumonia and complications of age.

The funeral will be held at two o’clock Saturday afternoon at the Zink Funeral Home. Internment will be made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

Mrs. Miller was born Ottilia Braun in Labs Bommarn, Germany. In 1883 she came with her mother to Chicago. On June 15, 1896 she was united in marriage in the Catholic Apostolic church of Chicago to Hugo Miller. Three years later they came to Wisconsin and operated a farm east of Colby, Wis. In 1924 they moved to their place on Highway 13 and together they established the first bottled milk route in Abbotsford, Wis.

Until three years ago Mrs. Miller actively helped in gardening two lots and did the housework until this past Christmas, when she became ill with fluid on one lung which caused her death, Tuesday.

Mrs. Miller was a member of the Catholic Apostolic church of Chicago, and secretary of the local Townsend Club.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband and one nephew, Ferdinand Leuck, Le Grange, Ill.

The body is lying in state at the Zink Funeral Home until the funeral.
