Price, Erna (28 January 1889 - 16 April 1971)

Funeral services for Mrs. Erna Price, 82, of Rt. 1 Unity who died April 16 in Neillsville were held Monday, April 19, at 11 a.m. at the Roycraft Funeral Home. Bible student speaker Edward Baum officiated and burial was made in the Beaver Cemetery.

Mrs. Price, the former Erna Schenck, was born January 28, 1889, in Sheboygan and moved to the Town of Green Grove with her parents at the age of eight. She was educated in the Green Grove Township schools. After her marriage to August Price on April 17, 1907, in the Town of Green Grove, she and her husband farmed in that township for many years. Mrs. Price moved to Memorial Home in Neillsville on November 10, 1970.

Survivors include seven children: Mrs. Laura Kovatch of Medford, Ernest Price of Unity, Mrs. Chester (Hilda) Vine of Janesville, Mrs. Hugh (Frieda) Vine of Janesville, Edward Price of Milwaukee, Mrs. Warren (Verena) Thomas of Birchwood, and Mrs. Ray (Grace) Johnson of Loyal; two sisters: Mrs. Ed Hess of Milwaukee and Mrs. Florence Dahl of Oshkosh; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Kenneth Kovatch, Michael Price, Keith Johnson, Robert Vine, Charles Theil and Jeff Trimble. Organist was Mrs. Kenneth Voss; Dave Anderson sang, “My Jesus as Thou wilt” and “Peace, Perfect Peace.”
