Sawczuk, Frank (10 OCT 1883 - 26 JUL 1951)

Frank Sawczuk, 67, a resident of this community since 1909, passed away of a heart attack at his home in the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.) on July 26, 1951.

Mr. Sawczuk was born in Poland on Oct. 10, 1883. He arrived in America in the year 1909 and resided in the Town of Withee for nine years, after which he moved to the Town of Reseburg, where he lived until death.

He was united in marriage to Anna Siemenuk on July 20, 1915 at St. hedwig’s Church, Thorp.

He is survived by his wife and four sons, Joseph of Chicago, John at home, Pvt. Edward of Aberdeen, Md., and one step-son, Stanley Sawczuk in Chicago; five daughters, Marie, Mrs. Leo Balcer, Ottertail, Minn.; Regina Swiatkowski, Chicago; Rose, Mrs. Joe Strojny, Frances, Mrs. John J. Burke of Thorp; and one step-daughter, Helen, Mrs. Walter Koperski of Chicago; three grandsons and three granddaughters.

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church at 10:00 o’clock A.M., July 30th, Rev. F. Piekarski, Rev. Kamla and Rev. Hebert Zarowski officiating, and interment taking place in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were Victor Lobacz, Peter Zukowski, Frank Dranginis, Stanley Pszeniczny, Joseph Rogus and Frank Arciszewski.
