Parkhill, Frank (24 Feb. 1885 - 22 Apr. 1941)

Funeral services for Frank Parkhill who died at Kauauna Tuesday morning will be held here Friday afternoon at two o’clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. M. C. Bunnell. Internment will be made in the Holton cemetery.

Services will be conducted at Kaukauna at 7:30 Thursday evening. The remains will be brought here Friday morning and will lie in state at the Bunnell home until the afternoon.

Frank Parkhill was born in the town of Hull, Feb. 24, 1885, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Eli Parkhill. He attended the Abbotsford school and at about the age of 17 he started as a call boy for the Wisconsin Central railroad and later became switchman and brakeman.

On Feb. 27, 1910 he was united in marriage to Miss Ella Yanke of Dorchester, Wis. They made their home in Abbotsford until 1918 when they moved to Ashland where he was a switchman for the Northwestern railroad. About five years later they moved to Kaukauna.

Mr. Parkhill had been unable to work on account of his illness the past 11 years and had been in poor health the past 16 years following an operation. His death came Tuesday caused by cancer of the stomach.

Mr. Parkhill was a member of the Methodist Church at Kaukauna and of the Odd Fellows lodge.

He is survived by his widow and two sisters, Mrs. M. C. Bunnell of Abbotsford and Mrs. Leslie Lamkins, Manawa. An only daughter preceded him in death in infancy about 13 years ago.

Funeral services for Frank Parkhill who died at Kaukauna Tuesday were conducted under the auspices of the Odd Fellows at the Fargo funeral home, Kaukauna, Thursday evening.

The body was then brought to Abbotsford where services were held Friday afternoon at two o’clock at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Bunnell. The Rev. Harry Lee of Colby officiated. Internment was made in the Holton cemetery.

The pallbearers were Harry Treat, ? Moore, Walter Jackson, Jess Parkhill, Herb Weideman and George ?eier. Those who had charge of the flowers were Mrs. William Garbrecht, Mrs. Harry Treat, Mrs. Harold Kalepp, Mrs. Lawrence Kalepp, of Dorchester and Mrs. Melvin Bremer of Medford.

Among those from away who attended the funeral were Mrs. Frank Parkhill, Kaukauna, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Parkhill, Marshfield; Mrs. L. ? Ernest, daughter, Grace, Mrs. ? Lamp, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bremer, Medford; Mrs. Tom ?mlin, Minneapolis; Gust., William and Miss Anna Yanke, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kalepp and Richard Bremer, Dorchester; Mrs. William Berry, Colby, Wis.
