Demand, Harry Dean (25 May 1877 - 18 May 1962)

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Poinaszew Funeral Home in Abbotsford for Harry Dean Demand, a former Abbotsford resident, who died on Friday morning in Evansville, at the age of 84 years. Rev. Douglas P. Oyan, pastor of the First Presbyterian church in Marshfield, officiated. Burial was made in the Abbotsford cemetery. Pall bearers were Louis Mauritz, Clarence Dolan, Al Holtzhausen, W. O. Colby, Maurice Thompson and Martin Larson.

Mr. Demand was born May 25, 1877, in Plymouth and received his education there. At the age of 18 he moved to Marathon county and was married in Colby, Wisconsin on Nov. 24, 1904, to Anna Fricke. After his marriage, he lived in Abbotsford until the death of his wife on April 8, 1952, when he moved to Evansville to reside with his daughter. He was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.

Surviving are two sons, Erhart of Sheboygan Falls and Floyd of Atnesa, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Janet Drahein of Canyon, Ore., and Mrs. Sarah Tresch of Evansville; five grand children and four great grand children.
