Hardrath, Sally Lou (Marriage - 26 May 1962)

Miss Sally Lou Hardrath, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Hardrath of Owen, and Jerome Peter Weiler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Weiler of Colby, Wisconsin were united in marriage in St. Mary’s Catholic church at Colby Saturday, May 26th, at 10:00 A.M. Rev. John Pinion officiated at the nuptial ceremony when Mr. Hardrath gave his daughter in marriage.

The bride was attired in a ballerina-length gown of Chantilly bridal lace, the gown having a portrait neckline with sequin and pearl trim, also a basque bodice and a bouffant skirt. The veil of silk illusion, chapel-length, billowed from a tiara crown glimmering with pearls and sequins. Her bouquet included red roses and white pompons tied with white satin ribbon.

Attending the bridal pair were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Weiler of Colby, Mrs. Weiler donning a ballerina-length gown of silk organza for the occasion. It was styled with a rounded neckline and a bell-shaped skirt. Complementing her ensemble was a matching headpiece and she carried an arrangement of mint green chrysanthemums with white pompons.

Dinner for the immediate families was served at the home of the bride where the 2:00 P.M. reception and the 4:00 P.M. supper were held for relatives and friends. A wedding dance was held at the Atwood hall.

Mrs. Weiler, a 1961 graduate of Owen-Withee high school, has been employed as a secretary for the Knutson Mortgage and Loan Co. in Minneapolis. Mr. Weiler, who was graduated from Colby High School in 1959, works for the American Motors Corp. in Kenosha, where the newlyweds are residing.

Out-of-town guests for the wedding came from Athens, Medford, Wausau, Eau Claire, Kenosha, Thorp, Ashland, Stevens Point, and from Minneapolis, Minn., and Brookfield, Ill.
