Ingersoll, Lillian (25 July 1867 - 21 Sept. 1941)

Funeral services for Mrs. Clark Ingersoll, who died Sunday were held this afternoon. The body lay in state at the Zink Funeral Home until this morning when it was taken to the Presbyterian church where the services were conducted at two o’clock. The Rev. George Griffiths, pastor of the church, officiated at the rites during which the hymns "God Will Take Care of You" and "In the Garden" were sung by Mrs. A. J. Folstad and Miss Jessie Merrill with piano accompaniment by Mrs. W. R. Berger. Internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

The pallbearers were five sons, Bert, Donald, Kenneth, Robin, Carroll, and one grandson, Clark Ingersoll.

The many beautiful floral offerings were carried by two grand daughters, the Misses Arlene and Jeanette Ingersoll, and the Misses Wilma Colby, Maureen Lieders, Betty and Shirley Kleinstick.

Mrs. Ingersoll, the former Miss Lillian Clark, was born July 25, 1867 at Aurorahville, and was married at Weyauwega to Clark Ingersoll on July 29, 1885.

She spent her childhood in Berlin and after her marriage lived for two years in Groton, S. Dak. They then came to Wausau where they made their home for a short time, after which they moved to a farm three miles east of Abbotsford, Wis.

Mrs. Ingersoll was a member of the Riverside church until the family moved to Abbotsford, 22 years ago, when she became a member of the Presbyterian church. She was also a member of the Colby Relief Corps until the time it disbanded.

Mrs. Ingersoll suffered a stroke last March 15th while visiting at the home of her sister, Miss Nettie Clark. Early in May she was taken to the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital where she was a patient for a month. Then in August she was taken to the Wausau Hospital where she died Sunday.

Mrs. Ingersoll who had lived in this vicinity for more than fifty years, leaves her husband and six children, Bert of New London, Donald and Kenneth of Abbotsford, Carroll of Elysburg, Pa., and Robin of Marshfield, and Mrs. Stanley Smith, Abbotsford; two sisters, Miss Nettie Clark, Abbotsford, and Miss Mary Clark, Milwaukee; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Among the relatives from away who attended were Carroll Ingersoll, Elysburg, Pa., Mr. and Mrs. Bert Ingersoll, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Ingersoll, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Ingersoll, Mrs. Andy Taubel, New London; Mr. and Mrs. Robin Ingersoll, Marshfield, Mrs. Minnie Waterson, Stevens Point.
