Obernberger, Lorna (18 FEB 1950)

Now residing at 108 South Cherry St., Marshfield, are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Roohr, who were united min marriage in a church ceremony performed at St. Katherine’s Episcopal Church, Owen, at two o’clock Saturday afternoon, Feb. 18th, 1950. The nuptial ceremony was read by Dr. K. O. Crosby.

The bride is the former Lorna Lou Obernberger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Obernberger, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), while the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Josh Roohr, also of Owen.

For the occasion the bride wore a corsage of yellow carnations and gardenias. Attending her were two cousins, Miss Marianna Ludwig, maid of honor, and bridesmaid, Jeanne Brunner. Miss Ludwig wore a suit of tan with brown accessories, while Miss Brunner’s suit was gray with green accessories. Both wore corsages of white carnations.

Attending the bridegroom was his brother, Gerald. Russell Phillips served as usher.

After the ceremony, a reception honoring the happy newlyweds was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Both of the young people are well known and highly respected in this community. Both were graduated from the Owen High School. Since his graduation last spring, Mr. Roohr has been employed by the Hub City Jobbing Company at Marshfield, while the bride has been in Owen employed as a clerk at the Weik’s Department Store.
