Lott, Augusta (28 Mar. 1871 - 25 Dec. 1941)

Funeral services for Mrs. Augusta Lott, who died on Christmas day were held Saturday afternoon, at 1:15 at the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) at Owen. The Rev. G. E. Borreson officiated at the rites and internment was made in Forest Hill cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

The pallbearers were Chester Knight, Malcom Larson, Felix Schiszik, Joe Spencer, William Steinke and John Borgemoen.

Mrs. Lott was born Augusta Weidenhoeft in Marathon, March 28, 1871. She was united in marriage to Fay Lott in 1895 and moved to Abbotsford in 1901. Her husband preceded her in death in 1904.

Mrs. Lott has made her home at various times during the past five years at Curtiss with Mr. and Mrs. Felix Schiszik. She was taken there about three weeks ago, ill with dropsy, which with complications caused her death, Christmas day, at the age of 70 years.

She was an active member of the Woman’s Benefit Association and was the second oldest in years of membership of the local branch.

Surviving are her three children: Robert of Chippewa Falls, Milo of Chicago, and Mrs. Herman (Almeda) Witt, Woonsocket, N. Dakota. Eleven grandchildren and four great grand children also survive.

Among those from away who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lott and son, Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Milo Lott and two daughters, Chicago, Ill.; and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Witt, Woonsocket, North Dakota.

Others attending included Mr. and Mrs. Chester Knight, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Spencer, and son, Robert, Mrs. George Barker, Mrs. M. C. Bunnell, Mrs. Herb Braun, Mrs. Eli Mittlesteadt, Mrs. Will Berry, and daughter, Joyce.
