Ingersoll, Helen (Marriage - 23 Dec. 1942)

Miss Helen Ingersoll, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Ingersoll and Private Robert Bogaard, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bogaard, were united in marriage, Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Camp Gruber, Okla. The ceremony at which the Catholic Chaplain officiated, was performed at 11:30 in the camp chapel, beautiful with its holiday decorations.

For the occasion, the bride wore a moss green furlough suit of wool, with brown accessories.

Attending the couple were Corp. Ed Duellman and Corp. Raymond Kadonsky.

Pvt. Bogaard was given a week’s furlough which he and Mrs. Bogaard spent in Muskogee, Okla. Mrs. Bogaard is expected to return here Sunday, to resume her teaching duties at the Clovernook school.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Abbotsford high school. The bride is also a graduate of Central State Teachers’ College. The groom attended Central State and St. Norbert’s at De Pere and in October, 1940, left for camp with the guards.
