Jacobi, Clarence (28 June 1912 - 27 Feb. 1943)

Funeral services for Clarence Jacobi, who died Saturday, were held on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Jacobi, Marathon, and at 2:00 o’clock at St. Matthew’s Lutheran church at Marathon. Internment was made in the church cemetery. The Rev. Mr. Kollander officiated at the rites.

Among the relatives from here who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Jacobi and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jacobi and family, Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth Wirth and family; Mr. and Mrs. John Stange of Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Matt Lampi and Mrs. Leroy Utke, Owen.

Clarence Jacobi was born in the Town of Holton, June 28, 1912, and attended grade school there. For about a year he was employed at the Baxter restaurant in Abbotsford, Wis.

Three years ago at the Herbert Jacobi family moved to a farm about three and a half miles southeast of Marathon where Clarence died of a severe heart attack at 1:00 Saturday afternoon. Surviving besides his parents are four brothers, Gilbert Jacobi, Wausau; Corp. Melvin Jacobi, Camp Crowder, Mo.; and Lloyd and Orville Jacobi, at home, and four sisters, Mrs. John (Erma) Stange, Curtiss; and Bernice, Bernette, and Leona Jacobi, at home. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
