Mitzlaff, Adeline (Marriage - 12 May 1943)

In a quaint gown of mouseline de soie, Miss Adeline Mitzlaff, daughter of Mrs. Elsie Mitzlaff, Abbotsford, was married Wednesday afternoon, May 12, to Pvt. Gordon Nolte, son of Mrs. Hazel Nolte, Dubuque, Ia.

The Rev. J. Brandt read the nuptial service at the home of the bride’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Platteter, Stetsonville, at 2:00 o’clock.

The bride was attired in a full skirted gown with insets of Chantilly lace. Her fingertip veil of illusion was held by a halo of seed pearls.

Miss Marietta Gebert, Stetsonville, the bride’s only attendant, wore a full-skirted gown of azure blue taffeta and a headdress of flowers.

Jerome Stevens, Stetsonville, was the best man.

Guests who attended the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. John G. Gebert, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Wietzman, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Schmidt, Mr. and Mrs. George Platteter, Robert Schmidt, Charles Stahnke, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Reiter, Margy Krie, Betty Rauscher, of Stetsonville; Mr. and Mrs. George Wagner, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Allman, Colby; and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Jensen, Abbotsford, Wis.

The bride is employed in Milwaukee and the groom is stationed at Camp Gordon Johnston, Florida.
