Delbert Haavisto, 77, died at the Birch Terrace Care Center, Fort Atkinson, Sunday, April 5, 2009. Services are pending.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Abbotsford is assisting the family.

Delbert R. Haavisto, 67, formerly of Owen, died Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Birch Terrace in Fort Atkinson.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford, Wis. Private burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery in the town of Hixon. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of service, all on Thursday at the funeral home in Abbotsford, Wis.

Delbert was born Nov. 24, 1941, in Owen, the son of Eino and Doris (Pipkorn) Haavisto.

Delbert is survived by two sisters, Nancy (Ron) Luepke and Jean Haavisto; and four brothers, Gerald (Linda) Haavisto, Dennis, Vernon and Rodney Haavisto.
