Kraut, Betty J. #2 (29 SEP 1951)

The Lutheran Parsonage, Dorchester, was the scene of a lovely quiet wedding ceremony performed at 2:30 o’clock, Saturday, Sept. 29th, 1951. Miss Betty Jean Kraut, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Kraut, exchanged the holy vows of matrimony with Mr. Ernest Boss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Boss, Abbotsford, Wis. The couple repeated the nuptial vows after Rev. F. H. Sprengler.

For the happy occasion the bride wore a beige dress of lace and faille further enhanced with dark orchid accessories completed by a corsage of orchids and lilies of the valley.

The groom wore a conventional business suit of dark brown. Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Boss, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), brother and sister-in-law to the bridegroom. Mrs. Boss had chosen a hunter green dress with plum colored accessories and wore a corsage of white roses and lilies of the valley.

Later that afternoon the couple received more than 30 relatives and friends at a reception given at the Sky-Lite Club east of Dorchester, Wis. That evening they greeted many more of their acquaintance at a wedding dance given at Walter’s Pavilion, Colby, Wis.

Both of the young people have a host of friends in this vicinity extending their sincere best wishes for a long happy wedded life to them. The bride is a graduate of the Owen High School and also of the Taylor Co. Normal School. For the past two years she has taught school at Unity, Wis. Mr. Boss is a graduate of the Abbotsford school system and has since pursued the occupation of farming.

The newlyweds have established their future home on the farm of the groom near Abbotsford, Wis.
