Mrs. John Pietenpol was on the sick list the first of the week.

Mrs. Ackerman received word that her daughter Nora of Chicago had to be operated upon for appendicitis the first of this week.  Mrs. Ackerman left Monday to be with her during the operation.

Mrs. Alfred Johnson and daughter Lois and F.W. Davis were callers at Truman Davis’ Sunday afternoon.

Alvin Pincher is helping Alfred Johnson this summer in the factory.

Mrs. Truman Davis gave her son Eldred a surprise party last Saturday afternoon in honor of his birthday.

Jim Tremelling took his son, Albert to Marshfield Monday to see a specialist in regard to his ear.  The doctor lanced it and removed considerable puss.  They came home Monday night but had to go back again to stay a few days.

John Pietenpol had a sick horse Monday night caused by helping herself to too much feed.

Glen Nonhof spent Sunday afternoon at the Geo. Frei home with Joe.

Herman Smith and family drove to Heathville last week Thursday to see Mr. Beaty.

Paul Ketel spent Sunday afternoon at A. Johnson’s.

Who says we can’t have snow.  There was at least six inches fell Sunday night, but the warm sun Monday took it all away.

Anyone wishing a hired man for the summer with small family will do well to see Herman Smith.
