Budtke, Edna (23 Jan. 1915 - 24 June 1997)

Edna Budtke, 82, of the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, died at 5:30 a.m. June 24, 1997, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Care Unit, where she was admitted on June 10.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hansen Funeral Home. The Rev. T. P. Bradtke will officiate. Music will be provided by Ilse Bradtke, organist, and William Allen, soloist.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Auburndale.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

She was born Jan. 23, 1915, in Auburndale, the daughter of Emil and Anna (Luepke) Budtke. After her education in Auburndale elementary and high school, she helped her parents on the farm until their death. She later moved to Stratford and farmed with her sister, until entering the health care center several years ago.

Edna is survived by her nieces, Almira (Raymond) Kamerer of Auburndale and Jeannette Zettler, also of Auburndale.

She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Norma Budtke.

Memorials may be designated to the family in her name as they will establish a memorial at a later date.
