Alonzo P., the son of Lemuel and Chloe (Powers) Foster, was born 5 May 1816 in Orange County, Vermont.  His father, Lemuel was born 24 Jun 1770 in Salem, Essex, Mass. and his mother was born 8 Jul 1775 in Grafton, Worchester, Mass.  Alonzo P. Foster married Harriet Thompson.  They had a daughter, Lorenda Ella, who was born in 1845 in Orange Co., Vermont and a son, Alexander Harris Foster who was born about 1842. 

 

From 10 May 1873 to 5 Jun 1874, Alonzo paid cash at the Land Office in LaCrosse, Wis., for property in Hewett and Dewhurst Townships., Clark County, Wisconsin, making him one of the first land owners in the county.

 

Harriet Thompson Foster died 1851 in Plainview, Wabasha, Minnesota.  Alonzo died 17 Dec 1897 in Winona, Winona, Minnesota.  Both of them are buried in the Greenwood Cemetery 1851 Plainview, Wabasha, Minnesota, USA.
