Provinski, Albert (28 May 1856 - 22 May 1947)

 

Masonic rites for Albert Provinski, 90 years old, who died May 22, after a two months’ illness, at a Wausau hospital, were held Sunday afternoon at Lulloff’s Funeral Home at Colby, Wis. Internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

 

The pallbearers were Henry Aderhold, John Coates, Max Heintz, Carl Holtzhausen, Dean Rein, and Carl Reyer.

 

Albert Provinski was born May 28, 1856 at Sheboygan. In the spring of 1878 he came to Colby and bought land from the Wisconsin Central railroad, five miles east of Colby, Wis. From this he cleared a farm and lived there until 1919 when he sold it.

 

In May, 1881, he and Minnie Aderhold, of the town of Hull, were married.

 

When Mr. Provinske retired from farming in 1919 they moved to Colby where Mrs. Provinske died March 3, 1929. He continued to live there until about ten years ago when he went to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. E. A. Brehm, in the town of Frankfort.

 

Mr. Provinske was a town supervisor in the town of Hull for a time. He was also a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Lodge No. 204.

 

He is survived by two sons, Frank, of Abbotsford, Edward, of Duluth, and one daughter, Mrs. E. A. (Lena) Brehm; two sisters, Mrs. William Horn, Sheboygan; and Sister Mary, Kemper Hall, Kenosha. There are nine grand children and eight great grand children.
