Marden, William W. (22 Mar 1875 - 9 SEP 1959)

Three Marden brothers died within 12 days of each other, and all three death followed strokes.

The late William Marden, 84, of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), had a stroke August 24 and died Sept. 9, 1959.

His brother, Ervin, 81, had a stroke August 29 and died August 31.

Their brother Steven, 79, died Sept. 12, on the day William was buried.

Ervin and Steven resided in Bellevue, Wash. Steven’s doctor advised against his attending Ervin’s funeral but he went anyway and had a stroke.

William, who was a jeweler for more than 50 years, came to Greenwood in 1914.

The Rev. Ethel Nulton officiated at funeral services for Mr. Marden, held Saturday from Grace Methodist Church. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

He was born March 22, 1875, in Lloyd, and was married to Daisy Hale Sept. 1, 1896, in Hewettville. They celebrated their 60 anniversary in 1955.

He is survived by his wife; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, and a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Crow.
