Natzke, Arthur R. (23 NOV 1900 - 21 JUN 1952)

Arthur R. Natzke, owner and operator of the Wild Cherry Cheese Factory in the Township of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at the Stanley hospital on Saturday, June 21st, 1952, of a cerebral hemorrhage. He had reached the age of 51 years, 7 months and 8 days.

The deceased was born in Spencer, Marathon, Co., Wis. on Nov. 13, 1900, where he spent his boyhood. He was united in marriage to Laura Kufahl on June 15, 1926 at Pine River, Lincoln Co., Wis. They resided in Texas Township, Marathon Co. for some time and Mr. Natzke operated the cheese factory at Junction before purchasing the Wild Cherry Cheese Factory in May 1935, where he resided until death. He had been in ill health for several months past.

He is survived by his wife and four sons, Clifford, Allen, Darrel and Edward at home; two daughters, Betty and Florence at home; four brothers, Hubert, Henry, William and Elmer of Merrill, Wis., and one sister, Mrs. John Schew of Merrill. His parents and one brothers preceded him in death.

Mr. Natzke will be sadly missed by his employees and patron of the factory which he operated for the past 17 years.

The body was taken to Pine River, Wis., Wednesday where funeral services were conducted by the Rev. M. K. Zimmermann at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment was made in the Restlawn Memorial Park at Wausau.

Pallbearers were George and Ewald Kufahl, Elmer Kahre, Marcus Krubsack, Linden Geiger and Otto Pieper.
