Miss Margaret Swiontek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Swiontek, became the bride of Albert Jalowitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Jalowitz, all of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), in a double ring ceremony performed by Rev. Francis Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church at 10 o’clock Mass, Sunday morning, June 8, 1952.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a chapel length gown of French silk lace over satin styled with a strapless bodice, full skirt and fitted jacket with long sleeves and small collar. Her silk illusion veil fell from a pearl beaded queen’s crown. She carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley with a white orchid center. She also wore pearl earrings, a gift of the groom.

The couple was attended by Edward Turek, cousin of the bride, and Adeline Jalowitz, sister of the groom, who wore a yellow dress of ninon over taffeta with matching headpiece and gauntlets, and carried a bouquet of blue and white carnations.

The bride’s sister, Virginia, who was maid of honor, wore a blue dress of ninon over taffeta with matching headpiece and gauntlets and carried a bouquet of yellow and white carnations.

The bridesmaids were Miss Margaret Strzok, Miss Darlene Swiontek and Miss Alice Strzok, all cousins of the bride. They wore yellow dresses identical with matching headpieces and gauntlets, and carried bouquets of blue and white carnations. The bride’s gifts to her attendants were blue crystal rosaries.

The ushers, John Lewandowski and Joe Jalowitz, cousins of the groom, and Clarence Mroz, friend of the groom, together with the groom and best man, wore tuxedoes of powder blue jackets and navy blue trousers, with white carnation boutonnieres. The groom’s gifts to his attendants were gold tie clasps.

Catherine Dobrzynski and Richard Swiontek, cousin and brother of the bride, were mock bride and groom. The mock bride’s dress, veil and bouquet were identical to tht of the bride’s. The mock groom wore a white tuxedo with maroon bow tie and also wore a white carnation boutonniere.

The bride place a bouquet on the altar of the Blessed Virgin while the groom knelt at the altar of St. Joseph.

The bride’s mother wore a beige dress and corsage of red and white carnations. The groom’s mother wore an aqua dress and a corsage of red and white carnations.

A reception as held after the ceremony and in the evening at Marions’ Hall. The couple spent their honeymoon in southern Wisconsin and Illinois. The bride is employed at the Thorp finance Corp. and the groom on his father’s farm.

Benson, Mr. Joe Kozara, Mr. John Trush of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. George Strzok and Dorothy Strzok of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Swiontek and family of Osceola, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Swiontek of Lancaster, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Mike Jalowitz, Mr. and Mrs. John Jalowitz and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jalowitz and family, Mr. and Mrs. James Jalowitz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Jalowitz and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jalowitz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Grzyb and daughter, Mr. Joe Kordick and Betty Stein of Hayward, Wis.
