Hablewitz, Joseph, Mr./Mrs. (50th - 10 AUG 1952)

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hablewitz celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 10, 1952, at 7:00 o’clock Mass with Rev. Father A. M. Muckerheide officiating. They repeated their vows. All of their eight children attended Mass. The alters were decorated with yellow and white glads.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hablewitz were married at Hewitt, Wis. on Aug. 10, 1902.

They lived in Stratford, Wis. for 43 years, of which Mr. Hablewitz was a mason by trade. They then moved to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), which is now their present home.

Mr. Hablewitz is retired, but still has a helping hand for Mr. R. Fisher at the plumbing shop.

A dinner was served at Club 73 for the family and supper was at the Raleigh Fischer home here.

A three tier cake and flowers decorated the table.

Mrs. Hablewitz was dressed in a black and white dress and wore a corsage of yellow roses and gold leaves.

Mr. Hablewitz wore a dark blue suit and his boutonniere was a yellow rose and gold leaf.

This is the first time all were together.

Including their 8 children. They have 37 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Attending were Mr. and Mrs. George Hablewitz of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Hablewitz of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Janus Vick of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hablewitz of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hablewitz of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Hablewitz of Menasha; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Jacobson and daughter Lorraine of Neenah; Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Fischer of Thorp.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hablewitz received many gifts and cards. A family picture was also taken.
