Miss Charmine Dee Wolf, daughter of Gordon Wolf, Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis., became the bride of Alvin Lee Sondergaard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Sondergaard, Sr., Dwight, Ill., at St. Hedwig’s Chapel in Thorp on Saturday Feb. 14, 1953. Father Francis Piekarski performed the 11 a.m. ceremony. Bouquets of deep pink gladioli adorned the alter. St. Hedwig’s school choir sang.

Her fingertip veil of nylon net was fastened to a lace headpiece and she carried a heart-shaped bouquet centered with pink roses in keeping with St. Valentine’s Day.

Miss Collette Mauel, as maid of honor, wore a gold satin gown with Chantilly lace over the fitted bodice. Accordion pleated net panels extended from the hips and she wore gauntlets of Chantilly lace. Her coronet was of matching net. Red roses composed her heart shaped bouquet.

Donny Izydorek attended the bridegroom as best man.

The mother of the bride selected a grey suit trimmed with black velvet. Her accessories were black and she wore a corsage of pink carnations. The mother of the bridegroom pinned a similar corsage to her light blue suit with which she wore navy accessories.

A reception from 12 to 3 o’clock was held at the home of the bride.
